This book really doesn’t apply (except for a FEW pages) to my students. It’s more for teens who are higher functioning or not at all mentally challenged. I can see for troubled teens that it would be helpful.

I really like the book I use it every week. It has activities for several of my clients.

Great book! I am using this with my 5th grade son who has attention issues as well as my 4th grade son. The book is very user friendly. It teaches skills I would not necessarily think of – but useful. I definitely think this will improve both of their social skills.

I have two stepsons, ages 10, one with PDD-NOS and the other with Aspergers. We have done the first two lessons with my stepson who has PDD-NOS and it is really covering subjects that are vital to his social success. The book approaches them in fairly mature ways that are still simple enough for him. I think it would be appropriate for children older than him but I liked this book for him more than the other version for younger children. I think he is right on the edge for age appropriate for this book, so I would recommend it for over 10 years.

The people behind this book worked hard to expand on their topics in a realistic way. I can easily use the majority of their topics as I work with with teen-age students. The information that is presented is not too simple for students who are in regular education classes, even though it was designed for special education students. The age-appropriate activities and topics bring on discussion that is neccesary for students as they work towards better interactions with others.
